Why Use Shock Pallets?

Shock absorbent pallets, also called “Shock Pallets” are used to transport delicate items that would be damaged by the usual vibrations and bumps during transit if shipped on a standard wooden pallet.

How do they work?

Instead of wooden runners, shock pallet runners are made with polyethylene foam and a thick plywood. Based on the weight load, we determine what density foam to use that will be sturdy enough to safely transport your item, but soft enough to absorb vibrations and bumps.

Foam plays a crucial role in protecting fragile electronic equipment during transit, thanks to its unique shock-absorption and cushioning properties. High-density foams, like the 6-pound-per-cubic-foot extruded polyethylene foam, offer strong compressive resistance, reducing the strain on equipment when pressure is applied. Such foams withstand prolonged compression, providing ongoing support without significant deformation.

What to use shock pallets for?

Shock pallets are great for shipping server cabinets, server racks, electronic enclosures, delicate machinery, delicate tooling and electronics.

Protecting expensive and fragile electronic equipment during transportation is crucial to prevent damage that can result in costly repairs, replacements, and lost productivity. Electronics are particularly sensitive to impacts, vibrations, temperature changes, and moisture, which are all common stressors in transit.
